what could be a stunning course is currently ruined by poor upkeep.
If you're tired of the longer championship courses that are typical of the upmarket tracks found elsewhere, the refreshingly short Milford Golf Club & Resort (formerly known as Hua Hin Seoul Country Club) offers an opportunity for those without much confidence in their driver to make a good score. You can often get away with a low iron off the tee, as long as you are accurate, without leaving yourself too much to do on your second shot. The hilly terrain, whilst providing spectacular views over the Gulf of Thailand, can severely punish shots that veer slightly off line; on the plus side, while looking for your ball you might spy one of the peacocks who share the course with the golfers.
The course has recently come under new management and it was a much needed move as when we played the course wasn't in a very good condition - sandy greens and bunkers covered with high grass is nobody's idea of what a golf course should look like, and with poor locker rooms to boot we can't really recommend playing at what could, with work, become a beautiful course. We've heard reports that things have improved, but renovations are ongoing and as it stands, you should probably avoid Milford Golf Club & Resort for now.
