Estepona Golf Course, a par 18 course, is located on the northern side of the main coastal road, just one mile from the town of Estepona. It was designed by José Luis Lopez and first opened in 1989. The design uses the natural landscape which is set against the Sierra Bermeja mountain range, and enjoys sea views from most parts of the course. There are many palms, eucalyptus and wild olive trees on the course, and players have a great opportunity to enjoy many rare species of wildlife, particularly on the second half. The views are wonderful, on the front 9 you played looking onto the sea and more so the mountains on the back 9.
How to play Estepona Golf Course?
Estepona Golf Course is reasonable but frustrating at times with good shots plugging on the fairways at times. The greens and bunkers are immaculate and run true and are easy to play out of. The fairways are wide and the greens large which provides a challenge for players of all levels, but doesn't penalise the average golfer.
