Arabella Golf Club

Arabella Golf Club, home to the Nelson Mandela Invitational, stretches through rolling fairways, deceptive bunkers and challenging water traps. A truly unique golf course set on the banks of the Bot River lagoon and fringed by indigenous fynbos. Designed and built in 1999 by celebrated South African golf course architect Peter Matkovich, who is also credited with the design of Western Cape courses de Zalze and Steenberg. This classic parkland course has spectacular views across the Bot River lagoon and across the Kogelberg mountain range. The pristine fairways are kikuyu, while the greens, which frequently receive high praise from professionals in the game, are Dominant Bent.

How to play Arabella Golf Club?

Arabella Golf Club has a really exciting lay-out - you will be able to memorize the course after only one round. Lots of tricky holes and reachable par 5s. A challenging course but with a number of easier holes thrown in. Extremely challenging wind when playing holes near the lake. Take plenty of golf balls as if the wind blows your going to need plenty. If you are fit enjoy the walk and the stunning views of the ocean.
