Aphrodite Hills Golf Club was officially opened in 2002 and was designed by the acclaimed architect, Cabell Robinson. Robinson believes Aphrodite Hills to be the perfect mix of challenging pot bunkers, manicured fairways of lush Bermuda grass and generous tiered greens. Visually spectacular, the course expands through indigenous olive and carob trees and is built on two plateaux separated by a dramatic ravine with outstanding views over the Mediterranean.
How to play Aphrodite Hills Golf Club?
Especially the 7th, 8th & 18th hole of Aphrodite Hills Golf Club are spectacular and testing. The fairways are in most instances generously wide but that doesn't detract from the challenge of making par. Special mention for the stretch of holes from the 7th through to the 9th. The 7th is across a ravine about 135 yards and you need a good head for heights to get to the tee down the windy buggy track. The 18th is a fantastic finishing par 5 with water down the right side on the approach to the green. Buggies are essential because of some of the distances from green to tee, in one area involving a ride down a twisty buggy path to a tee on one side of a deep ravine.
