For its single visitors, this tourist resort on the Gulf coast of Eastern Thailand, 150km south-east of Bangkok, is traditionally a stay up late kind of place thanks to its vibrant nightlife, but for the early birds amongst us there are plenty of activities to enjoy while the hedonistic sleep off their hangovers in the hostels. Challenge yourself at Laem Chabang International Country Club, which is ranked in Thailand's Top 3 courses, or allow yourself a few birdie opportunities on Crystal Bay's more easy going Hawaiian links course. For something a little different, try St. Andrews 2000, built to replicate a Scottish links course and featuring two par 6's of over 800 yards.
