Antalya

Antalya started to become known as the "Turkish Riviera" in the 1960’s and since then its reputation has grown from strength to strength. Antalya is your complete destination with fabulous beaches, wonderful scenery with dramatic sea and views of the Taurus mountain range, an excellent selection of good hotels and the busy Antalya International airport which allows good flight access.

Stroll along the harbour, walk within the narrow alleys of the ancient Roman Walls in the picturesque old quarter of Kaleici, view the old timbered houses and visit the Archeological Museum which houses one of the top collections in the Country. For those interested in shopping the best is to be found within the City walls along the winding streets and the avenues of Ataturk where you can expect to find, local jams and jellies, rugs, cotton clothing, pottery and wood carvings to name but a few. Do be wary of those people trying to sell you antiques though, as it is illegal for you to import them.
