Discover the peaceful side of Italy when you book an Abruzzo golf holiday.

Less than 50 miles east of Rome, Abruzzo provides some of Italy’s least explored countryside. Well known for its stunning mountain scenery, Abruzzo boasts medieval towns (the main towns of L’Aquila and Sulmona are well worth a visit), sandy beaches, and hilltop castles.

The Abruzzo National Park, the oldest in the Apennines, is a must-see and plays an important role in the preservation of species such as wolves and bears.

There are also some quality golf facilities to choose from. The Miglianico Golf Club is the first golf course in the Abruzzo region and was designed by Ronald Kirby, one of the most famous American golf architects. Just 5km from the beach of Francavilla al Mare, and 30km from the Majella Mountain, the mild climate and proximity to the sea make it possible to play throughout the year.

Or try Country Club Castelgondolfo, near Rome, which was created from the crater of an extinct volcano by Robert Trent Jones, and provides a luxury golf resort, club and restaurant.
