Club de Golf Costa Brava
This 18 hole golf course was designed by Hamilton Stutt and Co in 1968. There are two very different nines on this course the first nine holes is tight surrounded by pine and cork trees, the second nine holes is longer and has a much more open flatter terrain.
Emporda - Forest and Links
The Empordà Golf course offers a total of 36 holes, divided into two separate 18-hole courses: Links and Forest. The course was designed by Robert von Hagge, who chose to integrate a links-style course with two large lakes, dunes and rolling bunkers into a classic Mediterranean landscape replete with dense, manicured pine stands and spacious fairways. To this end, he was able to take full advantage of the natural beauty of the setting itself: stunning El Baix Empordà in the heart of the Costa Brava region. With the inauguration of the final 9 holes, the course came to offer a total of two separate 18-hole courses. The first, called LINKS, spans dunes and lakes in a style reminiscent of the world-famous greens of Scotland. The second, FOREST, is more Mediterranean in style and winds invitingly through pine trees and lakes. In the late 1990s, Empordà Golf was named one of the 10 best courses in Spain. It was moreover ranked 13th for design in all of continental Europe by “Peugeot Golf Guide 1996â€. EG was made the permanent headquarters for the PGA Pre-Qualifying School II European Tour and, since 2002-2003, has hosted the PGA Qualifying School European Tour Final.
Golf Serres de Pals
Located between the villages of Pals and Torroella de Montgrà and just at 2 kilometres of the Mediterranean coast, Serres de Pals forms with the Golf de Pals and the Empordà Golf Club the Golf Gold Triangle of the Costa Brava. An absolutely accessible golf course to practice this sport. The course, designed by Ramón Espinosa, has three different areas with smooth hills, pine woods and lanes among lakes. Surrounded by marvelous landscapes from the Baix Empordà , this 18 holes course, par 72 and 6.263 metres of length, joints the best conditions to play golf and to enjoy the mild Mediterranean weather. Golf d Aro - Mas Nou
Built in 1992 this amazing course has been ranked in the top three in Europe and is one of the spectacular tests of golf anywhere. The Golf Course Golf d Aro-Mas Nou is situated in Les Gavarres mountains. 300 m. above sea level with spectacular panoramic views of the famous Costa Brava. Surrounded by pine trees and cork oaks as well as over one thousand olive trees, the Golf d Aro counts in addition two large artificial lakes, that make the course more attractive. This course has literally been built by slicing off the very top of a mountain. Make sure you bring plenty of golf balls with you! Its superb location offers magnificent panoramic views overlooking the town of Platja d?Aro. The course is surrounded by cork oaks, pines and over a thousand olive trees, with two big artificial lakes which make the course even more charming.
