Benamor

The course was official opened in March 2000 and was designed by the late Sir Henry Cotton. This course offers a pleasant experience, to players of all standards. The course is undulating but not hilly. The views of the mountains to the North and the Atlantic Ocean to the South are stunning. The Penn A4 greens and tees are simply superb. The fairways of Bermuda Sahara and cool-season grasses provide good lies for wood and iron shots. Players accuracy is particularly called upon by the architects retention of as many of the old trees as feasible. These natural obstacles coupled with strategic placed bunkers and occasional water hazards make the course a worthwhile challenge.

Castro Marim

This is one of the newest courses in Portugal, having been opened in 2000, in an area of the Algarve that until recently had no golfing infrastructures at all. The recently-built course at Castro Marim is part of a truly exceptional tourist development, designed to provide unforgettable moments of leisure. It has a very special setting in the peaceful atmosphere of the eastern Algarve and was in fact the first course to be built in this region, offering players beautiful views over the Atlantic Ocean, the River Guadiana and the nearby nature reserve. The design of the so-called “Atlantic Course” made use of the natural undulations of the hills and is sprinkled with many ornamental lakes. The fairways have been made with Bermuda grass, whilst the greens are made with the new Penn A4 grass. What makes the Castro Marim Golf & Country Club really special is its unique blend of history, culture, nature, river, sea, beach and sporting facilities in one single setting, together with its exceptional service and quality. Its proximity to the Benamor course has meant that there is now a new major golfing centre in the Algarve. The Atlantic Course is the first of two 18-hole golf courses inaugurated at Castro Marim Golfe and Country Club. On the first 18 holes you will have a breathtaking mountain, river and sea views. These views are part of the spectacular scenery to be enjoyed by those wishing to take walks merely throughout the surrounding countryside. The Course has been designed to give pleasure to any level of golfer. The challenging aspects of the course, whilst providing interest to the expert, are also a test to the ability of the average handicap golfer and yet remain pleasurable to both.

Quinta da Ria Golf Course

The first of two 18-hole golf courses extends itself in a spectacular location on the coast of the eastern Algarve, known locally as "Sotavento". This spectacular 18 hole golf course is in the Ria Formosa Natural Park and spreads along an almost flat surface of 660.000 m2 down to the Ria Formosa itself, hanging over it and with a stunning view of the sea.

Quinta de Cima

Designed by William Roquemore Jr. , Quinta de Cima is a spectacular 18 hole golf course located within the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve. Eighteen holes skilfully scattered by an area of 620.000 m2, the Cima Course show themselves very competitive with dog-legs to the right and to the left and greens well protected by sand hazards and lakes, particularly holes 16, 17 and 18. This comparatively new course is considered of a Championship quality and it will give most golfers an enjoyable challenge.
