Quinta da Ria Golf Course
The first of two 18-hole golf courses extends itself in a spectacular location on the coast of the eastern Algarve, known locally as "Sotavento". This spectacular 18 hole golf course is in the Ria Formosa Natural Park and spreads along an almost flat surface of 660.000 m2 down to the Ria Formosa itself, hanging over it and with a stunning view of the sea.
Quinta de Cima
Designed by William Roquemore Jr. , Quinta de Cima is a spectacular 18 hole golf course located within the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve. Eighteen holes skilfully scattered by an area of 620.000 m2, the Cima Course show themselves very competitive with dog-legs to the right and to the left and greens well protected by sand hazards and lakes, particularly holes 16, 17 and 18. This comparatively new course is considered of a Championship quality and it will give most golfers an enjoyable challenge.
Quinta do Vale Golf Resort
Designed by Severiano Ballesteros, Quinta do Vale Golf Resort features an 18-hole Championship layout including 6 Par-5´s, 6 Par-4´s and 6 Par-3´s. The fairways have Bermuda 419 grass, the greens Bentgrass L93 and the Rough has Festuca & Ryegrass. Marvellously integrated into the landscape and with a great view over the Guadiana River, Quinta do Vale Golf Club sits in a natural valley and is always overlooked from the Clubhouse. At Quinta do Vale GC, players will notice Seve´s creativity as well as his promise: To please everyone no matter what their handicap is. Numerous dogleg holes, wide fairways and obstacles enhance the course quality and its breath-taking surroundings…
Benamor
The course was official opened in March 2000 and was designed by the late Sir Henry Cotton. This course offers a pleasant experience, to players of all standards. The course is undulating but not hilly. The views of the mountains to the North and the Atlantic Ocean to the South are stunning. The Penn A4 greens and tees are simply superb. The fairways of Bermuda Sahara and cool-season grasses provide good lies for wood and iron shots. Players accuracy is particularly called upon by the architects retention of as many of the old trees as feasible. These natural obstacles coupled with strategic placed bunkers and occasional water hazards make the course a worthwhile challenge.
