The Santo da Serra Golf Club is considered to be one of the most spectacular courses in Europe, with breathtaking views over mountains and sea.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones and opened in 1991, this course is only a short distance from Funchal, and less than 15 minutes from Madeira’s Intercontinental Airport. With 27 holes available for play, the course is 6,039 metres in length, with a par of 72, and is characterised by its large fairways and greens and a choice of tees, to suit golfers of all levels.
The course hosts the Madeira Open, which has been held every spring since 1993 and is part of the P.G.A. European Tour.
