The Playa Serena Golf Club was opened in 1979. The course, designed by Angel Gallardo and Peter Allis is know as the flattest course in Spain. It has wide fairways, 9 lakes and greens defended by bunkers, but its major difficulties are its long holes and the design of the greens.
The course is in excellent condition year-round. It has hosted several national circuit trials.
