The story of the Federal Technical centre began in the early 80s, when the FIG (The Italian Golf Federation) saw the country needed a structure where national players and professionals could train and practice. The choice fell to a plot of land north of Rome, in an area rich in enchanting landscapes, amid the fascinating vestiges of the Etruscan civilization. So near the ancient town of Sutri an 18-holes golf course was born, designed by George and Jim Fazio in collaboration with Davide Mezzacane. The structure is composed of two different but closely linked parts: an old farmhouse, now restructured with total respect for the spontaneous architecture typical of this area, hosts the Scuola nazionale di Golf, (National School of Golf) where training courses are held for professionals and greenkeepers, along with others for the psychological and athletic preparation of the national teams. Nearby, atop a hillock, stands the club house of the association Le Querce that manages the golf course.
