A good option for the budget conscious golfer, this Arnold Palmer designed course is graced by cooling sea breezes that make it a great choice for a really hot day. For golfers, the epithet 'The King' refers not to Mr. Presley but to Arnold Palmer, and at Bangpoo Golf & Sports Club you can test yourself on one of the few Arnold Palmer creations in Asia. Although set by the sea, there is less water to contend with than most other courses in the area, meaning the average golfer should be able to score well; however the strong, cooling breezes and rolling terrain mean you shouldn't get too complacent. Many newer golf courses these days seem peppered with saplings, but Bangpoo Golf & Sports Club has been open long enough for that not to be an issue, and the beautiful flowers make this course particularly picturesque. Some fairways are a little worn and could do with some work, and it can be difficult to find, but the cheap green fees that make this course so popular with the locals are more than enough to compensate for such minor gripes.
