From the gleaming shopping centres of the capitol Bangkok, to the mountains of Mae Hong Son and the pristine beaches in Phuket, Thailand is a welcoming country that can satisfy the broadest of tastes. Bronze yourself on the beach or immerse yourself in the local culture, enjoy some of the best luxury hotels in the world or bed down in a jungle tree house, or simply play golf on any one of its many world class golf courses - this safe, exotic and varied country can cater for all of this and more. It is this diversity that makes Thailand one of the most popular destinations in the world for tourists and golfers alike.

The capitol, Bangkok, will likely be your gateway into this fascinating country, and while you should certainly take a couple of days to experience the exciting nightlife and busy markets of this futuristic metropolis, most travelers journey either north to the mountains and jungles of Chiang Mai in search of cultural experiences, or south to established beach holiday destinations such as Phuket or more remote palm-fringed islands. Whichever direction you take on your Thailand golf holiday, you will not be disappointed as Thailand has some of the finest courses in Southeast Asia, designed by some of the most famous names in golf. Almost all Thailand golf courses are located close to the main tourist destinations, which means it is easy to get tee times on a top class course close to your hotel.

Average temperatures are around 29°C, ranging from 35°C in April to 17°C in December. There are 3 seasons - the cool season (November to the end of February), the hot season (March to May), and the rainy season (June to October). The lower humidity and cooler temperatures of the cool season combine with clear skies to make it the best time for your Thailand golf vacation, although the cheaper prices and less crowded courses are an upside to visiting at other times of the year.
