| Firestone is tough. The landing areas are not particularly generous and the greens feature some wicked slope. The front nine holes are not a naturally beautiful stretch of holes but are made more attractive by a good use of water and landscaping. The undulating back nine winds its way through a valley and are, in my opinion, the better of the two. From the blue tee the course measures in excess of 6,500 yards - long for recreational golfers. For weekend players, a drop down to the white tees is a good idea because the course's numerous hazards are less in play.
